Position DescriptionThe Sr.
Manager of Distribution Support is responsible for the day to day operations associated with new business implementations activities, operations improvement initiatives, and related projects.
This role ensures all processes and tasks are completed in a safe, efficient manner incorporating established SOP's or developing new SOP's.
The position will work with local leaders and associates while maintaining positive relationships across the organization, the customer, and with company vendors as necessary.
This high visibility role prepares the associate for growth aiming towards more significant positions in operations management.
ResponsibilitiesThe Sr.
Manager of Distribution Support is responsible but not limited to:
Provide leadership and operational guidance to achieve financial and service objectivesPrepare, maintain and communicate operational goals while ensuring all operational procedures are followed per company guidelinesProactively identify implementation opportunities and select the most appropriate avenue for resolutionManage, motivate, and develop staff to achieve objectivesParticipate in the recruitment and new hire onboarding process per SCLS requirementsPerform responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and proceduresRepresent the company positively at all times to include client-facing engagement and with day-to-day activities and challenges internally.
Implement metrics to support cost management, service performance and execution to planWork with current clients on strategic projects and other initiatives as neededParticipate with Saddle Creek's Information Systems (IS) team as a subject matter expert in deploying new technology across the company (WMS, OMS, and TMS)Ensure company compliance with all relevant regulatory requirementsInterface with internal stakeholders, clients, and consumers to resolve issues and provide proactive communication as requiredAct as a community representative for SCLSCreate and deliver effective written and verbal presentations to management and customers as necessaryEstablish Lean capabilities in all locationsAdvance the SC culture and be a culture ambassadorQualificationsEducation/ExperienceMinimum of 10 years proven supervisory/operational leadership role, preferably in logistics, ecommerce fulfillment, or 3PL industryCollege degree or other advance education a plusKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesStrong analytical skills with ability to deliver and meet requirements of assigned projectEffective decision making, ability to function as needed in a fast-paced environmentLEAN operations practitionerUnderstand and demonstrate a continuous improvement approach to day to day operations- Consistently explore and develop new ideasAbility to achieve desired results and develop team while creating strong relationships with clients and internal associatesProven operations leadership skills including:
leading results-oriented team, change catalyst and developing peopleStrong aptitude to quickly identify and understand issues (challenges/opportunities) and provide good judgement and decision-making skills.
Excellent technology aptitude, proficient in Excel (and other advanced data management tools), Word, PowerPoint, OutlookStrong interpersonal and communication skills at all levelsAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from group of managers and clients/customersWilling to travel overnight up to 50% of the time.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
