Position Summary
This position is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of the facility. This includes all areas of operational activities which typically include shipping, receiving, production, storage, materials handling (bulk and packaged), and customer services. The incumbent directs departmental activities by assigning job duties, delegating responsibility, and verifying work is accurate and complete. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring strong relationships with customers, providing extraordinary service, and ensuring the facility is presented in a neat and orderly manner. To accomplish the above, the incumbent must be knowledgeable and skilled in multiple areas of operations: employee relations, equipment, production, quality, maintenance, customer service, product and service line, and reports.
The incumbent will assist the Operations Manager/General Manager by providing input towards budgeting and planning, as well as with the selecting, developing, and organizing of an efficient facility staff. The incumbent is responsible for assessing training needs and providing adequate and timely training for personnel to ensure that assigned duties are performed safely and efficiently. The incumbent must work with the manager to create a climate that encourages initiative, fosters productivity, and supports good morale. The incumbent will complete individual performance reviews for all subordinates.
This position is responsible to oversee facility maintenance and could be responsible to supervise maintenance personnel to ensure the proper maintenance of receiving, storage, production and load out areas and equipment. This position would assist in the development and administration of effective preventative maintenance programs as well as ensure responsive and effective emergency maintenance capabilities. The incumbent is also accountable for maintaining the proper recording of operating permits and the associated equipment.
The incumbent is accountable for implementing activities that are aimed at meeting or exceeding productivity and quality goals in a manner that ensures safety, security, and maintenance of all assets. The incumbent will monitor the quality of inbound and outbound product ensuring proper storage. This position is responsible for effective operation of manufacturing/production equipment as well as the accuracy and integrity of products produced.

Organizational Relationship
The incumbent typically reports to the Operations Manager or the General Manager along with the Maintenance Manager, the Office Coordinator, and the Customer Service Specialist. Reporting to the incumbent could typically include the Operations Workers, and the Operations/Maintenance Workers.
Principal Accountabilities

2. Safely manage facility and ensure that a proactive approach is being taken to heavily involve all facility employees in safety initiatives. Lead efforts to identify and eliminate hazards at the facility level. Ensure all employees follow and perform their work within the set safety standards.
3. Deliver a courteous, pleasant and positive attitude in providing extraordinary service to all customers, coworkers and others ensuring open lines of communication.
4. Maintain an advanced knowledge of company products, services, policies and procedures.
5. Demonstrate competence to operate various types of mobile equipment at the facility.
6. Ensure facility is meeting or exceeding day-to-day production and/or service schedules, troubleshooting and making appropriate adjustments to maintain profit goals.
7. Serve as purchasing agent to manage, source, negotiate and control facility supplies.
8. Develop, manage, select, and train employees to carry out assigned responsibilities. Conduct the performance management process for all subordinates, plus assist and direct them with their personal career development.
9. Assist manager in the development of budget and annual plans. Implement activities that operate within the parameters of budgets and plans, with the intent of meeting and/or exceeding expectations.
10. Manage loss prevention and risk management, process safety management and insurance inspections.
11. Create required production reports within company and all other regulatory agencies policies.
12. Operate the facility in accordance with State and Federal regulatory standards.
13. Performs other related duties within job scope as assigned by supervisory personnel.
Job Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
Bachelors Degree a plus, preferably in related discipline
Experience:
Mid to High = 5 7 years of applicable experience in a manufacturing/production environment
Certifications/Licenses:
Valid driver s license
Additional Skills:
Strong communication skills at all levels of the organization
Highly knowledgeable with ISO, EPA and other regulatory agencies
General knowledge with formulation and ingredients
Advanced computer skills
Demonstrate solid leadership traits
Proven supervisory and team leading skills
Working Conditions
1. Ability to frequently lift/push/pull up to 60 pounds.
2. Must be able to climb/stoop/kneel at heights up to 100 feet.
3. Works in varying weather conditions and temperatures.
4. Working conditions could include: dust, fumes and noise.
